Suddenly today the Ctrl shortcuts do not work (Ctrl V = paste) (Ctrl C = copy) (Ctrl A = select all).I went to Tools Customize Keyboard tab. Category: EditThe Ctrl V, C and A lines had nothing in them. I added in the correct shortcut by selecting the proper word in the Function column, the clicked the 'Modify' button. I clicked OK when done.I closed Oo and reopened it, but it still doesn't work. When I went back to Tools Customize Keyboard tab Edit, the text for copy, paste and 'select all' is showing to the right of the shortcut keys.The shortcuts also don't work in Notepad and other programs.
The only change I made to my computer today was to update to Firefox 4, after which time it seemed that the Ctrl shortcuts stopped working (could be a coincidence?)I'll restart my computer to see if that helps.Oo 3.3.0 build 9567. Woo hoo, that works! So there must be something wrong with the left Ctrl key. Maybe I wore it out, or there is dirt underneath. I guess this is solved. Oct 22, 2018 Ctrl-C and Ctrl-V stopped working after a Windows update on my Toshiba Satellite laptop. External keyboard works but kind of m. I have an HP envy laptop less than 6months old operating on windows 8 and my Ctrl key doesn't work as it should. I know the Ctrl key itself is not broken as it works when pressing Ctrl + Alt + Delete or Ctrl + Left mouse key to open links in new tab and Ctrl + P to print. However the shortcuts as Ctrl + C, Ctrl + V, Ctrl + X don't work at all.
It might work, but if it doesn't, well, it was broken to start with, wasn't it? It makes for an entertaining hour or so.
I don't know if anyone can help. I have an MSI Apache pro GE 6QD laptop which runs the sims 3 and 4 on ultra settings brilliantly. The problem I have is that the cheat code does not work on sims 3 and 4. I am guessing that it could be something to do with the steelseries light up keyboard but I have no clue how to sort it out. Or it could be something else but I am a bit technically challenged lol.

I think this might be a bug. For some people anyway, as I had this problem and I don't use any screen capture programs, in fact, I play offline and disconnected from the internet, so I have no programs running when I play Sims 4.
Is there a bug report for this?I found that exiting my game, restarting my laptop and going back into my game fixed it, for me. Have you tried repairing the game? I had to do that to get rid of a few old bugs that returned with the Toddler update.
If all else you could try reinstalling everything, a pain, I know but it often fixes things that repairing the game seems to miss.
